Sesame Place

Before the boys get here for the summer, we decided to take Ethan to Sesame Place. It will be quite some time before we will be able to give him our undivided attention with the boys, Kim's mom and grandmother coming to stay with us soon. On top of all that we have Catie's arrival in July, so we tried to make it a special day for the little man.
We had lunch with Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Elmo and Cookie Monster. Ethan rode on a respectable roller coaster and splashed in the wave pool. He got to sit in a real, though very old, fire truck. he got his picture taken with every Sesame Street character there is just about. But I think Ethan's favorite thing was the "Blue Mountain". Basically its a tarp that is attached in the middle to a pole so it forms a 'mountain'. He must have gone up and slid down that thing like a hundred times. Its funny how sometimes the simplest things are the best...

Phillies game

On Sunday we were fortunate enough to get great tickets to the Philadelphia Phillie's game. So, Brandyn, Morgan, Dad and I spent the day down at Citizen's bank Park. Boy i'll tell ya, what a nice stadium! It sure beats the old Vet that I remember as a kid.
Anyway, we all had a great time. Dad and I picked up some pretty snazzy sweatshirts and the kids got those big pointing finger things that you see at almost any sporting event these days. I also got a raging case of sun burn on the top of my knees. Who needs sun screen right?
Morgan wanted to get on TV so bad but the camera guy showed us no love. Morgan also paid me to mention the fact that even though he didn't know the answers to the sports trivia on the big screen TV out in left field, he got them all right!
The home team didn't do very well and we lost the game 4-2 but at least we got to see some great players pretty close up. I thought it was cool how each player had a theme song like WWF wrestlers. Morgan pointed out that Matt Stairs theme song was in fact Stone Cold Steve Austin's song. I'm not much for wrestling but it sounded cool. The most important part was that both boys said they had an "Awesome" time and we all got home safe....
Happy Mothers Day to everyone:)

We got our picture taken on the way in by one of the stadium photographers, heres the link to it:

Catherine Ann Paine

Here she is!!! The newest member of the paine clan. On April 25th 2009, myself, Kim, Brandyn, Morgan and Gigi went to the Baby Preview Company in Reading, PA to get a more concrete answer in regards to the sex of the baby. What we got was a wonderful experience and the answer to the big question. Will we have our little girl......

Tax Day Tea Party

Kim and I took the day off to participate in the Tax Day Tea Party. All over the country people participated to protest the governments power grab and misuse of our hard earned money. Unfortunately, in liberal Philadelphia, there were only 200 people. To put this in perspective, the great state of Texas had a reported 16000 people in attendance at the Alamo. Oh well, it still felt good to do something for a change instead of just complaining. Too bad the media has labeled us "right-wing extremists". Yeah right!

Bumper Cars

On February 14th we had an accident on the road. Some retard decided that red lights did not apply to her and ran right into us as we crossed an intersection. Kim, the belly baby, Brandyn, Morgan, Ethan and I were all in the car. Brandyn and Morgan bumped heads and got minor concussions but other than that everyone is fine. The EMT's took Kim to the hospital as a precautionary measure. All in all it was a pretty crappy day.

Things would have been much worse if we didn't have the Honda though. On impact, airbags came from everywhere and probably saved us all from further injury.

The car was totaled with around 18k in damage.

Christmas Fire Hazzard

And heres the Paine Families 2008 christmas tree with all 50 pounds of candy canes strewn about. Yep... also as you can see behind the tree, we still haven't decided the wall color in the dining room yet.

Picking the Christmas Tree

Here's the whole family at Sheerlund Tree Farm getting the Christmas tree. Ethan was actually the one holding the whole tree up, the rest of us were just there to get our picture taken :) We really enjoy that place, with the ornament shop, free Christmas cookies and hot cocoa.
Heres Ethan on the drive to Florida to visit Kim's parents and family for the Thanksgiving holiday. We spent a week down there hanging out with Kim's whole family. Chad enjoyed testing out his Beretta 9mm. Ethan enjoyed playing with all of his cousins, and Kim enjoyed seeing all her sibilings and parents. The drive up wasn't bad at all. The drive back wasn't quite as good with having to leave family and Ethan managing to get sick. All in all it was a good trip though. We were all pleasantly surprised with Ethan's good behavior being stuck in the car for soooo long.

Updates for last several months

Sorry for not keeping up with the site for the last several months, we intend to do better in the future. Alot has happened since our first few blogs, from a trip to Florida for Thanksgiving, Christmas, car accident, new car, ultrasound of the baby and deciding on baby names. The next few posts will get everyone up to date on what we have been doing.
